Thong sandals incite a lot of emotions. Some rejoice in the shoe style’s recent reemergence, and some shudder at the mere thought of their comeback. But only a capable few, like Sophie Turner, can pull off a whole new kind of thong sandal.
Enter: Louis Vuitton’s Knot Pump heels. The Game of Thrones alum wore the style while attending Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall 2024 runway show Tuesday, which officially closed out Paris Fashion Week. The unique footwear, made of buttery black leather thinly trimmed in white, is half thong sandal, half mule. While most of the foot sits snugly in a glossy leather cloglike shape, the other half features the signature curving thong strap emerging from the center of the heel’s toebox. The nearly four-inch heel itself is just as quirky, featuring a hand-crafted sculptural white knot.
The rest of Turner’s outfit continued the eccentricities, providing an elevated take on steampunk fashion. The look, pulled directly from the house’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, consisted of a multitone crimson top with draping off-the-shoulder sleeves, tucked into a pair of cream and gray pinstriped high-waist trousers held up by thin black suspenders. The actor finished off the look with smoky brown eye shadow and a plum-red lip.

After yesterday's show, Turner attended Louis Vuitton’s after-party with her new beau, Peregrine Pearson, who wore an all-black outfit.

Turner has a long-standing relationship with Louis Vuitton, often wearing the house for her most high-profile appearances. She most recently repped Louis Vuitton in October at the Rugby World Cup Final in France, where she presented the trophy in a khaki top and miniskirt from the Spring/Summer 2024 runway.
